Each year, Illawarra Credit Union is proud to support the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal. From donating toys to volunteering our time packing Christmas hampers, our team loves getting involved and giving back to local families in need.

A big shout-out to Stephanie Holding - our Regional Stores Manager - for coordinating our annual toy donation, especially, making sure older kids and teens aren’t forgotten.

Thank you also to our amazing volunteers in helping the Salvos last week. In the midst of recent sad events, community spirit like this is what Christmas is all about. ❤️

🎉 Congratulations to our October Illawarra Academy of Sport Athlete of the Month – Lily Sproule! 🎉

Lily is an IAS Future Stars track and field athlete, and her dedication both on and off the track continues to shine. 🥇🏆

Over the past month, Lily has been training four times a week in rain, hail or sunshine, preparing for three big races in November. She has been pushing herself at the highest level, with her sights firmly set on achieving new PBs.

But Lily's impact goes beyond performance. As the oldest female athlete in her training squad, she consistently supports and mentors younger runners, leading with encouragement, discipline and a genuine passion for her sport. Her training routine includes track sessions, long runs and gym work, which she balances with maturity and commitment to continue getting stronger every week.

At the recent 2025/26 IAS Induction Day, Lily also delivered an outstanding performance across high-performance strength and conditioning tests. She even recorded the highest female score in the Yo-Yo Test – after already completing a 7km run earlier that same morning! 💪🔥

Wow Lily! Your hard work, leadership and determination is amazing. Keep chasing those goals, we can’t wait to see what you achieve next! ⭐👟

Since 2020, Illawarra Credit Union has proudly sponsored the Illawarra Academy of Sport (IAS) — a centre of excellence in the Illawarra region that’s helped over 8,000 athletes chase their sporting dreams, including 23 Olympians and Paralympians! 🌟

Last weekend, at the 2025 IAS Induction Day, our very own Steph Holding and Dylan Vlkanovski ran a “Financial Fitness” session — sharing practical tips to help young athletes build healthy money habits early. 💰🏃‍♂️

Over the past three decades, Alannah has been a pillar of support — for our members, our community, and our team. She's helped first-home buyers unlock their dreams, welcomed countless new staff with warmth and wisdom, and always looked for ways to make our services even better.

Our contact centre and Wollongong store will be closed Monday 6 October 2025 for the October long weekend.
We will re-open on Tuesday 7 October 2025 with our contact centre at 8am and our Wollongong store at 9.30am.

Great news, we are back online!

We’d like to sincerely thank you for your patience during this time. What happens now?

Internet banking is up and running again. Your current login credentials will still work. You may notice some more Community First branding when you first log in.

Please allow 2-3 hours for transactions that were processed between 3pm Friday 12/9/25 and 3pm 13/9/25 to be finalised.

Online statements are still in progress and may not be available just yet.

You can now access your banking on the go via the Community First Mobile Banking app. Use your current internet banking credentials to log in. If you haven’t already, be sure to delete the Moneytree app.

If you received a notification about your member ID changing, please follow the instructions we sent to you.

Transaction limits have been removed and you can use your Visa Debit or Credit card as normal.

You can continue to access our expanded service options – our contact centre is open 8am – 8pm Monday to Friday and 8am – 3pm Saturdays. You can also access 12 Community First store locations across Greater Sydney.

We’d like to sincerely thank our members for your patience during this time.
