60th Apple & Grape Festival Stanthorpe 🍏🍇

Wow — Stanthorpe sure knows how to throw a party. What an epic festival!

I was lucky to play a small part in the celebrations. On Friday night, I co-MC’d the Gala Ball alongside powerhouse 4 Ingredients author Kim McCosker.
It was an incredible evening recognising the dedication and hard work of the Young Ambassadors throughout the festival and beyond. Amazingly, these five outstanding young people raised $113,000 — a true testament to a community that wholeheartedly backs its youth.

Saturday saw the streets come alive with markets, entertainment, food stalls, kids’ activities, the street parade, and of course the famous Grape Crush — where I had the fun (and very messy!) job of running commentary. Ambassadors, celebrities and politicians all joined in the action, and Kim McCosker claimed the title for the second year running 🍇

Congratulations to everyone involved in delivering this massive event. An enormous effort from 500 dedicated volunteers, led by their committee, President Russell Wantling and Vice President Samantha Wantling. You should all be incredibly proud of delivering this milestone 60th festival!

Dom Benz from Farm & Machinery Finance has un-officially declared he’s keen for a trifecta… so we’re fairly confident we’ll be seeing him grace the stage again at our next event.

But in all seriousness, Dom has well and truly cemented his place as one of the best MCs around. His professionalism, quick wit and ability to read the room make the “big job” on the night look effortless.

Something different in my work day today - running a 'life skills' finance lesson at Warwick State High School. Really happy to be a part of this project, it is a terrific initiative, so valuable for kids to understand money and finance!
