Before the day starts, there's this. Gilgandra, in the Great Western Plains. The sun just clearing the horizon, red dirt roads winding through the paddocks. Captured by photographer Riaan Husselmann.

This is the country our clients call home. And for 40 years, RFCS NSW has had the privilege of working alongside the families who work it.

To mark the milestone, we've launched 40 Years, 40 Properties, and weโ€™d love to see your photos. A landscape, a working shot, an animal, a cracking sunrise, a hard day or just a good one. Whatever says this is my patch.

Submit your best shot for the chance to be featured across our socials and newsletter, with followers voting from a shortlist of finalists to find their favourites.

Last night's Farm Smart workshop in Trangie brought out some of the most experienced farmers in the region, and the conversation didn't disappoint.

These free workshops are built around one idea: time spent working on your business is just as important as time spent working in it. Walk away with practical tools to sharpen your farm business plan, stress-test your risk profile, and get bank-ready - all in a 90-minute session designed around real farm businesses.

Oh, and did we mention it's free, and you get fed? ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ

We hear you. Things feel different right now.

A recent roundtable bringing together farmers, banks, advisors and support services painted a clear picture of what many producers are carrying heading into winter - rising costs, feed and fertiliser pressures, tough seasonal conditions, and a deep uncertainty about what comes next.

One thing that stood out: many people are holding off on asking for help because they feel others have it worse. And when you're already exhausted from the weight of decisions, it can be hard to know where to even start. That's exactly where a rural financial counsellor can help.

A free, confidential appointment with one of our counsellors isn't about judgment - it's about sitting down with someone independent who can help you think through your options, make sense of the numbers, and feel a bit less alone with the decisions in front of you.

You don't need to be in crisis to reach out. If things feel heavy and complicated, that's reason enough.

๐ŸŽ‰ RFCS NSW is turning 40 and we want you to share your patch.

Forty years alongside farming families across NSW - backing you through the challenging, and the good times. To mark the milestone, we're launching 40 Years, 40 Properties - a community photo series that puts your country front and centre.

A landscape, a working shot, your working dog (or best mate), a busy day at the saleyards, a favourite corner of your property, a sunset or sunrise that stopped you in your tracks - whatever says this is my patch. Phone camera or otherwise, we just want to see your world. ๐Ÿ“ท

A shortlist of finalists goes to a community vote, with winning photos featured across our socials and newsletter. Your patch, your story, your moment.
