With the cost of living being so high, saving a pretty penny has never been more important.

A massive expense we all incur is the dreaded weekly grocery shop! With the average 4-person household in Australia spending over $10,000 p.a.

Lets have a look at some tips to reduce your grocery bill!

💸 Meal Prep: Planning your meals in advance helps not only with organisation, but helps with using every bit of your produce
💸 Do Inventory: Check what items you already have prior to your shop, to avoid buying duplicates. If you’re an especially creative chef, you may also “create” a meal for “free” from your existing items
💸 Shop Online: You can keep track of your spending before you checkout and it also helps reduce unnecessary purchases
💸 Buy in Bulk: Especially useful for meat, you can save money buying in bulk and freezing products for use later on
💸 Aldi for Staples: Aldi’s staple items tend to be cheaper and can save you a bundle. Warning, stay away from their Special Buys 😉
💸 WiseList app: Check it out!! This app helps you compare prices between Coles and Woolies, so you can ensure you are getting the BEST price
💸 Don’t be afraid of “no-name” brands: They are quite often exactly the same as more expensive brands – and more often than not much cheaper!

⏰ Save SIGNIFICANT time and money on your mortgage ⏰

Be a good friend and share this one around!

💸 Check out what your monthly repayments are
💸 Divide that repayment by 2 (for fortnightly repayments) or 4 (for weekly repayments)
💸 Contact your bank (or friendly mortgage broker 👋) and change your repayments to fortnightly or weekly with your divided mortgage repayment

EXAMPLE: Your monthly mortgage repayment is $2000. You would like to make fortnightly repayments - $2000/2 = $1000. You would contact your bank to make your repayments $1000 per fortnight.

How does this help save you time and money on your mortgage? It adds a couple of additional repayments every year to your mortgage... that may not sound like a big deal - but would WIPE 5 years & 5 months off your loan term - and could save you in excess of $120,000 in interest**

**Based on a $500,000 mortgage on a 30 year loan term, 6% interest rate
