🐝MEET THE QUEEN BEE: Greetings!! We’re all a buzz to have you here on the Goldsworthy General Insurance Services page, or GGIS for the bite sized version. Kate Greaves is a third-generation owner in her family’s business.

As Director of GGIS since 2021, she follows in the footsteps of her mother and grandfather who have laid down a strong foundation upon which she intends to lead her hive to thrive.

Kate is dedicated to fostering long term, honest relationships between broker and client, continuing a family legacy of work ethic that has proven itself time and time again for over 6 decades.

Helping people is our passion. Finding the right insurance can feel like a minefield.

WHY THE FLAME?🔥
In 1963, Bill Orr, an ex WWII fighter pilot, walked into an AMP office in Tamworth and became an agent selling life insurance and home insurance.

In 1990, the baton was handed to Bill’s daughter Katrina and her husband Ralph who rebranded as Goldsworthy Investments with Katrina expanding the General Insurance division.

In 2003 a young Kate Greaves stepped foot into her parent’s practice and 18 years later would become the third and current Director, giving Goldsworthy General Insurance Services a new independent direction.

The flame shown here has been part of our logo history since 2009. It was first designed as a way of representing the 3 family generations and remains an important historical symbol of our branding today.

150 Years of Ekka! That is A LOT of Strawberry Sundaes. The very first one was made in 1950 and was an instant hit.

Our office will be closed for the Ekka Show Holiday, Wednesday August 12th.

Well helllloooo, Greece!☀️🍽️🩵
A little trip to the Mediterranean for our team yesterday as they enjoyed a Private Dining experience at Newstead's, Santorini Restaurant.
This wonderful experience was very generously gifted to us by Ralph and Katrina, who placed the winning bid on it as a silent auction item at this year’s Dancing CEOs fundraiser for Women’s Legal Service Queensland.

We were accompanied by our new licensee friends from Ausure - John and Adam who provided excellent company! Thank you, gents!

We covered a lot of conversational ground from the BEST 90's movies our kids need an introduction to, the history of salmon as a sushi topping in Japan and the sharing of some wonderful 'wedding face expression' photos....and that was just ONE end of the table.

What we do in our industry is really serious business - however, how we connect with each other and our industry colleagues, partners and peers ensures the industries propels positively forward and that we have collective team experiences that bring pure joy, happiness and full tummies to keep us coming back for more!

Thank you to the amazing team at Santorini for the most excellent service, care and food - a few hours out of the office spent right.
