A huge thank you to everyone who attended our recent GC South Business Connect event.

It was a wonderful opportunity to bring together business and community representatives to meet, connect and build meaningful relationships with other like-minded people across our region.

A highlight of the event was proudly presenting a cheque for $50,950 to Veterans' Support Centre from our recent Trivia for a Cause fundraiser. Thank you to everyone who supported this incredible initiative and helped make such a positive impact.

If you couldn’t make it to this year’s Trivia for a Cause, here’s a little glimpse of what you missed!

It was an incredible night at Currumbin RSL filled with trivia, community spirit and meaningful connection as we shined a spotlight on the amazing work of the Veterans' Support Centre and proudly raised just over $50,000 to support vital programs and services for our veterans and their families. 🎉SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Thanks to the overwhelming support from our community at Trivia for a Cause, we are incredibly proud to announce that together we raised more than $50,000 — including a $25,000 commitment from the Board of Community Bank Tugun to support the “Caring for Carers” Program.

What an incredible night we had as we shined a spotlight on Veterans' Support Centre and the important work they do supporting our veterans and their families.

With a sold out event and more than 200 locals coming together, the evening was filled with fun trivia, connection, generosity and amazing community spirit, all while raising much needed funds for vital programs and services.

We were wonderfully entertained by our emcee Spida Everitt of Triple M, and heard powerful insights from Cherisa Pearce of Veterans' Support Centre and Major Dan O'Mara (Retired) on the impact defence service can have on veterans and the importance of support services.

Our symbolic poppy arbour created a beautiful and meaningful visual display of support and remembrance throughout the evening.

A heartfelt thank you to all our guests, the many businesses and community organisations that generously donated prizes, our emcee Spida Everitt, the many volunteers, and the incredible staff from Veterans' Support Centre and Currumbin RSL for helping make the event such a huge success. 🙏
