Award Wage Update – July 2026

We’ve been busy implementing the latest 4.75% award wage increase for the first July pay period. This update applies to all modern award minimum wages across Australia, and it’s essential for employers to ensure their payroll is fully compliant.

💰 The National Minimum Wage is now:

$26.44 per hour (full‑time, 38‑hour week = $1,004.90)

$33.05 per hour for casual employees

📣 STP Finalisation Reminder – Due 14 July

A quick reminder for all employers: Single Touch Payroll (STP) finalisations are due by 14 July. This is when year‑to‑date wages must be submitted for all employees so their income statements are ready for tax time.

Payday Super – What Employers Need to Know

From 1 July 2026, all employers need to follow the new Payday Super rules. This means super must now be paid at the same time as each pay run, rather than quarterly. The ATO has introduced this change to improve transparency and ensure employees receive their super faster.
