Most people don't realise this...

Every time you apply for finance, it leaves a mark on your credit file.

Whether it's a car loan, personal loan, credit card or debt consolidation loan, lenders can see those enquiries when they assess your application.

Now, shopping around for the best deal makes sense. I would do exactly the same thing.

But what many people don't realise is that submitting multiple finance applications in a short period of time can sometimes raise questions for lenders. They may wonder why so many applications have been made and whether there is a greater need for credit than what appears on the surface.

It's one of the reasons I often see people accidentally make the finance process harder than it needs to be.

As a finance broker, my job is to understand your situation first, identify lenders that may suit your circumstances, and help you avoid the guesswork of applying everywhere and hoping for the best.

The goal isn't just getting an approval.

It's finding the right lender, the right structure and the right repayment for your situation.

So if you're thinking about a car loan, personal loan, debt consolidation or refinancing, have a conversation before you start lodging applications everywhere.

A 10 minute chat today could save you a lot of headaches later.

📩 Send me a message if you'd like to explore your options.

I've been a finance broker for over 9 years, and in that time I've heard a lot of stories from people who trusted the wrong person with their car loan.
So here are the 6 green flags that tell you you've found a good one. Screenshot this. Send it to a friend, and if you want to chat about your situation, DMs are open. 👋

Most people don’t realise getting pre approved for car finance can actually help secure your dream car. 👀

We recently had a client looking for a highly sought after used vehicle through a private seller. Because we had already completed the car loan pre approval process, we were able to move quickly, give the seller confidence and help take the vehicle off the market before someone else bought it.

The best private sale cars and Marketplace vehicles move FAST, especially LandCruisers, 4WDs and well priced used cars.

That’s why getting pre approval before you start shopping can make such a difference.

One of the biggest mistakes people make when trying to buy their dream car privately? 👀
They wait until after they find the car to sort out the finance.
And honestly, I get it.
You find the perfect car on Marketplace.
You go test drive it.
You picture yourself driving it home.
You already start mentally planning your first road trip in it. 😂
Then you ring to organise the finance…
But while all of that is happening, another buyer with pre approval can come in ready to go immediately and buy the vehicle before you.
Because unfortunately, private sellers usually aren’t going to hold a well priced car while finance gets sorted.
The best used cars move FAST.
That’s why getting pre approved before you start shopping can make such a difference.
It means when the right car pops up, you’re actually ready to move on it, instead of scrambling to work out your options after you’ve already fallen in love with the vehicle.
So if you’re planning on buying a private sale car or used vehicle soon, reach out first and let’s get the ball rolling. 🤍

One of the biggest mistakes people make after doing a debt consolidation loan? 👀

Not closing the accounts they just consolidated.

Because what often happens is:
✔️ the debts get paid out
✔️ repayments feel easier
✔️ the accounts stay open

…and slowly the credit cards get used again “just until payday.”

Before they know it?
They now have:
💳 the debt consolidation loan
PLUS
💳 brand new debt sitting on top of it.

Debt consolidation can absolutely help, but only if the cycle changes too.

If you’re serious about wanting a fresh start financially, seriously consider closing the accounts you consolidate. 🤍

One of the biggest mistakes people make after doing a debt consolidation loan? 👀

Not closing the accounts they just consolidated.

Because what often happens is:
✔️ the credit cards get paid out
✔️ the personal loans get cleared
✔️ repayments feel easier

…but then the accounts stay open.

And slowly, people start re-spending on the credit cards again “just for emergencies” or “just until payday.”

Before they know it?
They now have:
💳 the debt consolidation loan
PLUS
💳 brand new credit card debt sitting on top of it.

And honestly, this can leave people in a worse financial position than before.

That’s why one of the most important parts of debt consolidation isn’t just the loan itself…
It’s changing the cycle.

So please, please, please, if you’re consolidating debt and genuinely wanting a fresh start, seriously consider closing the accounts you’ve consolidated.

Because the goal isn’t just to move debt around.
The goal is to actually move forward financially. 🤍

What’s the difference between refinancing your car loan and a debt consolidation loan?” 👀

We get asked this ALL the time.

Car loan refinancing is simply restructuring one existing debt, usually your current car loan.

People often refinance their car loan to:
✔️ lower repayments
✔️ reduce their interest rate
✔️ remove a balloon payment
✔️ change loan terms
✔️ or better suit their current financial position.

Debt consolidation is different because it combines multiple debts into one repayment.

That could include things like:
• credit cards
• personal loans
• Buy Now Pay Later accounts
• car loans
• or other unsecured debts.

And honestly? One of the biggest trends we’re seeing at the moment is people combining the two.

So instead of just refinancing the car loan, we refinance the vehicle AND consolidate unsecured debts into the same loan structure.

Because we’re using the secured vehicle, it can sometimes give clients access to a much better interest rate compared to leaving those debts unsecured.

For the right person, this can:
✔️ simplify repayments
✔️ reduce financial stress
✔️ improve cashflow
✔️ and potentially save money on interest.

Everyone’s situation is different, but if you’re looking at refinancing your car loan, consolidating debt or just wanting to understand what your options could look like, reach out. We’d love to help. 🤍

Don’t believe everything people tell you about car loans. 👀

One of the biggest misconceptions in car finance is that every loan is basically the same.

They’re not.

Your car loan can:
✔️ be fixed or variable
✔️ have a balloon or no balloon
✔️ have no early termination fees
✔️ be structured over 1–7 years
✔️ finance older vehicles 7+ years old
✔️ have weekly, fortnightly or monthly repayments

And no, you don’t have to buy from a dealership either.

We can help with:
🚗 dealership purchases
🚗 private sale car loans
🚗 Facebook Marketplace vehicles
🚗 auction purchases
🚗 used car finance
🚗 older vehicle finance

This is why structure matters so much more than people realise.

Because the “best” car loan isn’t just about the lowest interest rate…
It’s about finding an option that actually suits your lifestyle, goals and future plans.

Finance is not one size fits all.
And honestly? That’s why having the right broker matters. 🤍

Debt consolidation loans can sound really scary or overwhelming… but honestly, sometimes they’re simply about making your finances feel more manageable again. 👀

A few signs debt consolidation might be worth considering:
✔️ your financial position has improved since taking out your original loans
✔️ you’re stuck in the cycle of paying off and re spending on credit cards
✔️ your repayments feel messy and hard to keep track of
✔️ you’re paying multiple monthly account keeping fees across different loans

And no, debt consolidation isn’t always about “more debt.”

Sometimes it’s about:
• simplifying repayments
• improving cashflow
• reducing interest rates
• creating a clear end date
• or just making your finances feel less mentally overwhelming.

Everyone’s situation is different, which is why getting the right structure matters so much.

If you want to explore your debt consolidation options, personal loan refinance options or ways to simplify your repayments, send us a message and we can talk through what may be possible for your situation. 🤍
