I haven’t been one to share client testimonials or success stories before , but this message I received today was a bit different.

These clients came to me thinking their situation was unable to be fixed given their predicament and were ready to sell up and move on.

After a few hurdles were overcome in the process , this was the best phone call I’ve made since starting the business a bit over 2 years ago telling them they’d been approved.

Being able to help someone who had described themselves as “unhelpable” and get the job done is one of the main reasons I do what I do.

Sometimes it’s just getting that person to let you see if they can be helped. More times than not there is a solution out there.

The interest rate many lenders offer is based on how much equity you have in your home ? (i.e your home value less what you owe.)

So while this month saw yet another rate rise from the RBA, instead of just copping it on the chin, take the glass half full approach especially for those whose home is worth more than when you settled on your current loan and see what is out there.

For many borrowers, a simple switch of lender can erode the last 1,2,3 or even 4 rate rises. With many lenders also still offering cash back offers for refinances of up to $4,000 your savings could be SIGNIFICANT.

For many existing or “would be” property investors, a common mistake often made is not being able to separate the numbers to make something work from the emotional attachment they want from the property.

For a successful purchase, the investor should not try to imagine themselves living in the house or focus on the layout , colours of the rooms , etc etc as they would if they were buying their own home to live in, and not worry about being able to drive past it in a neighbouring suburb.

There is no such thing as “THE property market” given that we live in such a big country with lots of smaller markets all doing different things at different times.
