I want to share 2 strategies you can implement to get leads and clients right now.

However, you need to make the choice between free vs paid. In other words, time vs money.

Let me explain this further:

Free Organic Approach - Most business owners think of SEO, networking or posting on social media channels to generate leads without paid advertising. This approach is slow but can reap long term results. A really quick way to reach your target audience organically, is using Groups on social media. You can reach your audience by engaging in groups.

Paid Advertising- The biggest mistake when running paid ads, is that you try to sell everything on the Ad rather than the next step. I know many of you are goal oriented and that is super cool. Goals are great especially if you want to hit certain targets within a time frame.

Not sure about you but New Year resolutions or Goal setting is not my thing. Sounds a little strange from a guy that's been running his business since 2008 and working with clients to attract leads.

I've studied a lot of entrepreneurs over the years, and the ones that I found had the greatest impact on their customers and the world, prioritised their vision more than goals.

For me, my vision is super important and is something I created years ago. I know exactly the impact I want to have on my clients and for myself. I focus more on my journey and creating habits that will help me reach my vision.

Whether it is your goal that gets you motivated or your vision, the key is to work on achieving them everyday. Enjoy every step of the journey because sometimes when you reach the goal, you are too exhausted to appreciate it and for some it is too late.

For me, I try to enjoy the journey (there are times when you question yourself) but as long as I get results for my clients then I know I will achieve the results I want for myself. I look at the big picture and enjoy the details.

Fact: Your prospects may have been:

👉 Searching for the right solution to their problem
👉 Looking for the right person to help
👉 Saving when they had the money to spend
👉 Waiting when they had time to implement the solution
👉 Waiting when they were confident to take the next step

I’ve known a ton of business owners who struggle to get their prospects’ attention, and often it’s because they’re marketing as generalists with no specific target in mind.

I am a big fan of niche marketing.

When I bring up niching, Business owners tend to zone out, and have a list of fears with moving to a niched business.

These are the three most common reasons why Businesses don’t niche, and why it’s time to move past them.

1. Lose the Opportunity - Advisors feel they will turn away potential clients because their branding and messaging is towards a niche. In fact, the opposite happens when you niche - you get known and you will have prospects reach out to you with the exact problem that you solve. You become a magnet.

2. Don’t know how to pick a niche - Not sure how to choose the right niche for some can be difficult. You must choose a niche that you are super comfortable with and one that you are able to serve with value and integrity. You can niche by demographics and a particular problem.

3. Boring - ​​A lot of generalists are scared that niching will put an end to the variety and their Financial Advising or Coaching business will become boring and monotonous. In fact, it is actually more fun as you can dig deeper into your prospects' problems and be able to solve them quickly.

I had a bunch of calls from Business Owners recently, that all had similar problems when it comes to attracting new clients. I can basically put these in 3 buckets.

I thought I would share this with you.

Top 3 problems were:

HOW TO KEEP YOUR MARKETING SIMPLE & EFFECTIVE

You don’t need to do everything in terms of marketing to have a successful business. You don’t need to:
🤷‍♂️ Do 1 blog every couple of days
🤷‍♂️ Record a video everyday
🤷‍♂️ Do social media stories daily
🤷‍♂️ Do an Instagram reel - doing something silly to grab attention
🤷‍♂️ Send emails once a week
🤷‍♂️ Meeting new business partners weekly
🤷‍♂️ Spend time on creating multiple social media graphics
🤷‍♂️ Post on Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, Twitter, TikTok, Youtube, Clubhouse, Pinterest etc….

That was exhausting just thinking about it. :)

Don’t get me wrong, if you want to go down that path, it could work for you but may not be sustainable. Businesses don’t have the time to do all these activities.

And if results (in terms of acquiring new clients) are not there, you get overwhelmed, frustrated and super tired. Plus your bank account ends up stressed out.

Lockdown is a b*tch… Trust me I know.

So what can you do to get new clients or be ready to go when it opens up again.

There are 3 skills that my clients are using to become confident and generate new clients:
✅ Learn to easily find your ideal clients - target your niche and add value so that you are looking like an expert.

✅ Master the Chat - ability to engage in chat (conversation) with cold prospects and move them to a qualified leads

✅ Master your message and offer - create offers that get your prospect interested and raise their hands for your help.

For the last 6 months I ‘ve been working with clients on the Pipeline system that is helping them have between 3-5 conversations a day with their perfect future clients. That is 15-25 leads a week.
