No one gives a s**t about the number of properties you own

And no one cares about how much they're worth either

But for some, the flex helps build their ego

Social proof is important, but when I see x number of properties by x

I immediately swipe off the page

Anyone who bought property in the past 5-6 years has made money

(for some, those gains are unwinding at the moment)

They’re not geniuses

Cheap credit has fuelled a lot of it, but as we head towards higher interest rates, the rhetoric has slowed down

And I'm all for it

Everyone is running their own race

Stop listening to the noise

And focus on your own race

Nothing like a bit of transparency on what the “modelling suggests”

We are already in the middle of the housing downturn, but there is never a way to know if you are at the bottom or at the top until time has passed.

What we know now though is that the trajectory of rents has only moved further upwards since the budget announcement

This is helping a small portion of first home buyers, but also impacting people who can’t afford to buy a home.

The divide is only increasing, it’s just which side you want to be on when the market turns.

One well-bought property can make your future self thankful for the sacrifices you make today

Buy a property with solid fundamentals, hold for the long-term, and let time do its thing.

Developments, renovations and timing markets might not be your thing, but taking the first step towards your first investment property is a clearer path to building wealth than not doing anything at all
