We are proud to be supporting women within the Anindilyakwa community on Groote Eylandt through our Indigenous training and employment program, creating pathways to local employment and long-term career opportunities.

Our current intake of participants have just completed their three week pre-employment program. Initial training has focused on building confidence, practical skills and readiness for work. Participants are now moving into a week of supported role-specific onsite training ahead of commencing in their roles within our ESS village.

This marks the second year of the employment program intake in the region. At its core, the program is about creating important opportunities within the local community, supporting women into employment, strengthening local capability and ensuring pathways into work remain connected to place, culture and community.

This June we're celebrating Pride Month, a time to uplift our LGBTQ+ community and recognise the importance of inclusion, respect and belonging.

Diversity of thought, experience, and background makes our teams stronger. Pride Month allows us to not only recognise the diversity within our workplace, but also celebrate it and understand the role we each play in being able to .

Throughout the month, our teams are coming together for in-office and site celebrations right across the country. We're also proud to be supporting the Pilbara Pride Festival across regional Western Australia and The Rainbow Shoelace Project.

Together, we continue building a workplace where everyone feels seen, valued and supported each and every day.

All In for Reconcilliation Week.

Today marks the start of National Reconciliation Week, a time for all Australians to think about our shared histories, cultures and achievements and to consider how each of us can contribute to reconciliation in Australia.

The theme for National Reconciliation Week 2026 is All In, a call for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every single day. All In makes clear that reconciliation is not a spectator sport and that all of us must step away from the sidelines and take action to make change.

Let’s walk together, guided by truth, respect and a shared commitment to change.

Today we mark National Sorry Day.

A time to acknowledge the Stolen Generation, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children taken from their families, communities and Country, and the lasting impact this has had across generations. It’s a day to recognise the strength of those who lived through that time and continue to share their stories.

At Compass Group Australia, we understand that recognising the past is only part of the work. We remain committed to learning, showing up with respect and supporting our First Nations people as we continue the path toward reconciliation.
