Meet Corin. He has spent 39 years campaigning for renewable energy and ethical banking, and has recently retired thanks to Dave’s advice. Now at 61, he spends his days in the vegetable garden and looks forward to whats next. 🥬

This National Carers Week, we want to highlight that care work comes at a cost many don't see until retirement.

New research from Australian Retirement Trust, surveyed by YouGov, found 81% of Australians identify time out of paid work caring for children or family as one of the top 3 reasons women retire with less super than men.

Good news is that 65% of Australians support government-funded super top-ups for carers, and 67% think that support should come as ongoing contributions, not just a bigger Age Pension later. 💛

World Cleanup Day began in Estonia in 2008, when 50,000 people set out to clean their entire country in a single day. In five hours, they collected more than 10,000 tonnes of rubbish. The idea became known as Let's Do It!, and it did not stay in Estonia for long....

We spent a couple of hours out of the office last week at Pocket City Farms, an urban farm growing food on the old bowling greens in Camperdown, Sydney.

Alongside the market garden, they run education programs focused on regenerative agriculture, composting, permaculture and water saving.

We harvested crops and learned more about the farm’s operations and purpose. Hands in the soil, fresh air, contributing to the community and a wonderful chance for a bit of team bonding. 🌱

155,253 people in the UK just forced a climate debate into Parliament. 🌍

The government had already responded back in June, pointing to plans it already had. People kept signing anyway, and once the petition passed 100,000 signatures it had to be considered for debate.

Congratulations to everyone who stood up for the change they want to see in their community. 👏

The same arithmetic works here. Shareholder resolutions, super fund switches, open letters and petitions all run on it. Individual actions only look small until they are added up.
