The Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Sydney (PTIC-Sydney) facilitated the referral of Kairos Care/Kairos Medical Group to the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) as part of the Australia-based healthcare provider’s investment-focused engagements in Manila, where it explored opportunities to establish IT-BPO operations supporting its Australian health services business.

On 13 August 2026, PEZA Director General Tereso O. Panga welcomed representatives of Kairos Care/Kairos Medical Group at the PEZA Investment and Corporate Center to discuss the company’s investment plans. The delegation expressed interest in establishing export-oriented administrative and back-office operations serving its Australian and other global markets, as well as exploring partnerships with Philippine universities for internships and future talent recruitment.

PTIC-Sydney Commercial Counselor Emmanuel Ang referred the company to PEZA as part of efforts to connect Australian businesses with Philippine investment opportunities. During the engagement, Director General Panga highlighted the Philippines’ competitive advantages as an IT-BPO and investment destination, including incentives under the CREATE MORE Act, PEZA’s ecozone ecosystem, and the strong performance of Australian and IT-BPO companies registered with the Authority.

Kairos plans to eventually expand its Philippine operations to provide outsourced services to other healthcare organizations, while exploring potential partnerships with Philippine resorts for wellness, rehabilitation, mental health, and disability care programs.

Through PTIC-Sydney, DTI remains committed to facilitating Australian investment into the Philippines and advancing partnerships in IT-BPO, health services, and other knowledge-driven industries.

On 10 June 2026, the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Sydney visited E.A.F. Intertrade to view Philippine products imported by the company for distribution across Australia, valued at approximately USD 1 million. As E.A.F. Intertrade’s first importation from the Philippines, the development reflects the increasing demand for Philippine products in the Australian market.

During the visit, E.A.F. Intertrade Director Richard Tran shared that the company distributes these products through major Asian retail outlets across Australia, including CitySuper, Tong Li Supermarket, and other specialty stores.

The importation was made possible through business matching and market linkage activities facilitated by PTIC-Sydney and the Department of Trade and Industry’s Export Marketing Bureau, connecting Australian buyers with Philippine suppliers and creating new export opportunities for Philippine products.

The Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Sydney (PTIC-Sydney) in collaboration with the Philippine Consulate General in Sydney supported the Third Philippine Construction Business Mission to Australia held from 28 April to 1 May 2026 alongside Sydney Build Expo 2026.

Organized by the Philippine Overseas Construction Board (POCB) and the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board (PCAB) under the Construction Industry Authority of the Philippines (CIAP), the mission brought together Philippine and Australian stakeholders to explore partnership opportunities in the construction and engineering sectors.

The business mission particularly featured networking activities, business meetings, and the “Build with the Philippines: A Philippine Forum on Partnership Opportunities for Australian Contractors,” which provided opportunity to explore viable pathways for partnerships, investments, innovation, and sustainable growth.

Supported by PTIC-Sydney, the mission aims to provide Philippine firms with opportunities to showcase their expertise and engage prospective partners, further advancing efforts to expand the international presence of the Philippine construction industry.
