Was the event determined successful? Why do you think this is?
Yes. This event successfully reached its purpose of providing guidance on the procedures of typical M&A deals through case studies. Students showed great enthusiasm during the Q&A and Networking session after hearing guests’ advice and experiences. After the event, we received positive feedbacks from the attendees and many mentioned that they would love to see more similar events in the future.
Did the event run at a profit or loss? Why do you think this is?
Our club is a non-profitable organization, so profitability is not considered in our event’ s evaluation.
Will you hold this event again? We have planned similar events for the future.
If so, what would you do differently next time?
We will probably organize another similar discussion panel event relating to CPA and CA certificates. Since many of our society members come from accounting or data science background, events relating to these topics are highly requested.
Do you have any further comments or notes about this event?
It was interesting to see that some attendees currently working in other areas are thinking of shifting into M&A. Therefore our guests spent some time discussing the skillsets need in order to succeed in the industry and their experiences with career path planning, which students found very helpful.
