A big thank you to everyone who joined us for the Broodmare Seminar at Oaklands this evening.
Our panellists Ryan Arnel, James Ferguson, Dr Katie Wilcox and David Whishaw shared their knowledge and insights on purchasing and managing broodmares as well as many other valuable topics, making for an engaging and informative session.

A special thank you also to for their support in making the seminar possible.

Nothing beats Welcome Drinks on the eve of ! It was great to be able to thank the stud and stable staff who have done such a tremendous job preparing these weanlings for sale. Their hard work behind the scenes is what makes events like this possible, and we were pleased to shout them food and drinks ahead of a big couple of days.

NEWS: Exciting young mare La Mexicana – in foal to Too Darn Hot – today became the most expensive horse sold on Inglis Digital this year, selling for an “incredible’’ $920,000 in the June (Early) Online Sale.

Offered by Peter O’Brien Bloodstock on behalf of the Surace family, La Mexicana sold to a partnership between Blue Gum Farm and Suman Hedge Bloodstock.

It was an especially pleasing result for O’Brien, who used La Mexicana to launch his new venture Peter O’Brien Bloodstock, as he departs Segenhoe Stud later this month following its recent sale to Yulong.

Following another busy day of inspections, we're winding down and looking forward to tonight's Welcome Drinks, followed by the Broodmare Seminar at Oaklands.

It's been fantastic to see so much activity around the complex as buyers continue their inspections ahead of . We look forward to catching up with vendors, buyers and industry participants this evening before the gavel starts falling from 1pm tomorrow!

NEWS: The G1 Goodwood Handicap winner Reserve Bank (Capitalist) will be offered as a stallion prospect through a private online sale to be conducted by Inglis next week.

The Mick Price and Michael Kent Jr-trained Reserve Bank was undefeated at two, winning by 5.5 lengths as a juvenile on debut – running the fastest last 400m and 200m sectionals of the day - before backing that up with a 2.8 length victory as a spring 3YO.

At just his third career start he finished 2nd – beaten a nose – in the G2 Danehill Stakes before coming into his own as an autumn 3YO, winning the Listed Redelva Stakes and G2 Tobin Bronze Stakes in the lead-up to his career highlight, victory in the G1 Goodwood Hcp.

His Goodwood victory saw him defeat 12 individual Stakes winners including G1 winners Giga Kick, Climbing Star and Charm Stone as well as the likes of Generosity, Stretan Angel, Ameena etc, making him the only 3YO c**t to win the prestigious sprint over the past two decades.

At the 2024 renewal Twin Hills Stud offered a Stay Inside filly (ex Exclusive Lass), which Kerry Stephens purchased for $70k.

Now known as Lassified, the 2YO is already a Stakes winner from just five career starts and looks set for a big future.

It’s been another huge day of inspections at Oaklands ahead of . We look forward to continuing inspections tomorrow, followed by Welcome Drinks (4pm) and the Broodmare Seminar (5pm) before the sale kicks off at 1pm Thursday.

Streisand (Magnus) has been one of the most dominant 2YOs of the season, winning the G1 Blue Diamond and finishing runner-up in the G1 Golden Slipper, earning more than $2.4m along the way.
The Cilinton McDonald trained filly started her sale ring journey at , selling to Northmore and Waterford as a weanling for just $22,000 from the Yarran Thoroughbreds draft.

This year's begins at Oaklands at 1pm Thursday and concludes Friday.
