Congratulations on the announcement of your new baby!!!
So many things to organise before your new child arrives - nursery, nappies, baby name shortlist, baby shower, maybe even putting their name on that private school waiting list. Each of these things has different priority - some need to be done straight away and some can be put off until later.
Some new parents will start thinking about protecting their new family financially by putting life insurance in place just in case the worst happens. Thankfully, having a baby is far less dangerous in 2020 than it was back when our grandparents or even our parents were having kids, however it is still one of the riskiest times in new mum's life, especially given many people put off having kids until later in life.
From the moment you receive the news, the race is on to get your life insurance sorted out - if you leave it too late the insurer may delay the start date of your cover until after the baby arrives, leaving your family unprotected right when you really need it.
If your cover doesn't start until after the baby arrives, you run the risk of pregnancy, birth and after-pregnancy complications affecting your ability to get cover - conditions like postnatal depression, struggles to shed baby-weight or problems during delivery, can increase your premiums, add exclusions, or even mean you can't get cover at all.
We want to make sure you don't have to go through it alone and can help you avoid the common pitfalls that delay putting insurance in place so it's not too late. We also make it straight forward, efficient and a minimal inconvenience for you so you can spend your time getting ready for the new baby.
