MLA x Fine Food Australia 2026 🌟

We’re proud to announce that MLA, through our foodservice program Rare Medium, is partnering with Fine Food Australia 2026 to champion the future of Australian red meat across the nation’s premier foodservice stage.

Why are we getting involved? πŸ€”
Because this is where Australia’s most passionate chefs, operators and innovators come together.

Australian red meat deserves a place at the centre of menu innovation and this partnership helps us champion that creativity across the industry. 🀝

MLA is proud to support the launch of the Global Gender Representation Report 2026 by Meat Business Women! 🀝

The report shows where our industry is making progress and where more work is needed to improve gender balance across global food manufacturing and the meat sector.

Women make up 34% of the workforce globally and 32% in meat and poultry. MBW Partners, including MLA, are leading the way with stronger results across key career levels.

This is a big step forward for our industry and we’re committed to helping build a more inclusive and resilient workforce for the future of the Australian red meat industry. πŸ₯©

Getting penning densities right is crucial for livestock transport success according to Australian Livestock and Rural Transporters Association rising star and South Australian livestock transporter Kyle Nicholas.

With the improved seasonal conditions in parts of SA Kyle is busy carting from northern and central NSW back into SA and says accurate densities are better for the animals and drivers.

Kyles top tips for successful journeys:
βœ… Provide accurate livestock weights and numbers when booking the truck
πŸš› Talk to the driver about penning densities – they are considering weights and numbers and do it day in day out
πŸ‘ Feed sheep and cattle good quality dry hay in the yards 24 hours in advance of long trips – it gives them the energy to travel
