Today, the European Union Delegation to PNG joined the National Capital District (NCD) to relaunch its 1 million trees planting campaign to mark World Environment Day
(WED) with the theme 'Beat Plastic Pollution' The EU
Delegation Head of Cooperation and Chargé 'Affaires a.i Hans Lambrecht joined NCD Governor Hon. Powes Parkop and other stakeholders including acting UN Resident Coordinator Dirk Wagener for the tree planting activity at the Sana Peace Park in Port Moresby. The EU Delegation has supported ND with its WED activities including a walk for the environment held yesterday (June 4th) in Port Moresby. The EU is committed to preserving the environment as part of its 'Green Deal Strategy' and will continue to support related activities in Papa New Guinea.
