Ammo.co was founded by Andrew Hayek and Peter Caddick in 2013, who got together after an introduction by mutual mentor, Andrew’s father Fady Hayek. Peter & Andrew shared a passion for disruptive solutions and knew that with drive, customer centricity and hard work anything was possible. Starting from scratch, Peter & Andrew bootstrapped themselves into an online coffee supply company based out of
a loud print factory that reeked of ink. The co-founders struggled to promote this coffee business but quickly solved the problem by developing a social media content business, Social Ammo. The content business quickly attracted the attention of other businesses with the same marketing problem and, soon, Social Ammo’s social content business was in high demand. Quickly identifying how a successful product was developed from a common problem, the co- founders built a team around the premise; build product solutions for real business problems. After struggling to find customers via traditional sales methods, Andrew and Peter decided to innovate a new way to attract new customers through social and digital. Sales Ammo was born in 2014 and recently became the sales marketplace sella.io, the world’s first sales platform for the “Share economy”. In 2015 Ammo.co broadened its scope to address problems within port safety, and has successfully rolled out a range of RFID/IOT safety products across Australia with global port operators. In 2016 we invested heavily in building our talented core team, and successfully commercialised the Smart Pinning Station and sella.io. Today Ammo.co is on a mission to inspire a generation to challenge what is known, innovate unconventionally, and build the best products from the biggest problems. As Ammo.co grows from its humble beginnings in a print factory into its new offices in The Rocks, Sydney, its co-founders empower staff to continue individual exploration as well as team success.
