Our Biggest Morning Tea was a huge success and we raised a fantastic amount of $2,337 for the Cancer Council! :)

It will help fund world-class cancer research, which has already increased cancer survival rates from 49% in the 1980s to 69% today. It will fund prevention initiatives like the HPV vaccine and the new cervical screening program, which have put Australia on track to become the first country to eliminate cervical cancer as a public health problem. How incredible is that?!

Plus, your donation will also importantly help fund support services for the 150,000 Australians who are diagnosed with cancer every year. With support services in higher demand than ever, your help now is particularly vital.

Join TAG Financial’s Biggest Morning Tea Fundraiser, to support the Cancer Council!

There are currently more than 1.1 million Australians who are either currently living with or have lived with cancer and there’s no doubt we all know someone who has been affected by cancer, whether that’s a family member, a friend or colleague.

It’s with regret that we have made a decision to cancel this year’s TAG Golf Day, which was to be held on 21/10/2020; we believe this to be a prudent decision given the current COVID world we live in. The most disappointing aspect of our decision is letting down The Ponds School who we have proudly supported since 2014.

Our intention next year will be to make the TAG Golf Day bigger than ever and we look forward to your support in achieving an outstanding result for The Ponds School. We hope to see you at our TAG Golf Day next year.

We had a change in location for our staff meeting yesterday - the TAG Café at The Ponds School! Lovely service and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. :)

Last Tuesday, 10/09/2019, some of the staff from TAG had the pleasure of attending the opening of the TAG Café at The Ponds School. The funds raised from the TAG Golf Day 2019 were used to build an outdoor café which is accessible from the School’s car park and is open to the public every Tuesday between 9am - 10am.

This fantastic initiative was developed by Leonie Donaldson, Principal of The Ponds School, to develop skills for the children to use in the workplace. This program assists students to gain valuable life skills, helping to ensure a bright future in day to day life and future employment.

To set up the Café, The Salvation Army donated the coffee machine and Liam, one of the parents, has volunteered his time every Tuesday to help with ongoing training. The experience the children gain is invaluable and Leonie is already talking about work experience initiatives with various shops in the local area.

Special mention must also go to many of the bus drivers from the School who gave their time during the July School holidays to help with the build.

We feel very privileged that the School named this the TAG Café and we encourage you if you are in the area to hold your meetings or drop in for a coffee on Tuesday mornings between 9am - 10am.

Today we attended The Ponds School and were lucky enough to be involved in a weekly Assembly to proudly present a cheque for $10,500 being the funds raised from the TAG Golf Day.

After the presentation we were privileged to be invited to visit "The Ponds School Café", where we were served by students as part of the work skills Café Program.

This is teaching students valuable life skills, helping to ensure a bright future in day to day life and future employment.

Golf Day proceeds are earmarked for the Café Program, which will be open to the public every Tuesday 9am-10am.

This is the 11th year TAG Financial has hosted the event which has been running for 24 years.
We continue to proudly support The Ponds School who have been the benefactors of the TAG Charity Golf Day since 2014. The Ponds School is a school for students with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities, with many of the students having additional disabilities, including autism, physical or sensory disabilities and/or emotional disturbance.

The monies raised have been earmarked towards specialist equipment and services to help integrate the children into society and teach life skills.

The day was extremely successful raising a total of just over $10,400 for The Ponds School.

A huge thankyou to Bella Dental Care and National Australia Bank for their involvement and sponsorship. Also the many teams from local businesses, long standing clients of TAG Financial, Financial Services colleagues and Institutions who continue to show support year after year. We also thank all our sponsors and donors from local business whose generosity in providing the prizes ensured another successful day.
