$250M Was the Milestone โ The Future Is the Mission
The $250m milestone should acknowledge the past, while the 3โ5 year vision signals where Secure Finance is going. The go-karting then gives it personality and makes the post feel human.
$250 Million Settled. One Great Team. And an Even Bigger Vision Ahead. ๐
Last Thursday, 6 August, the Secure Finance family stepped away from the office for a day to celebrate, reflect and look towards what comes next.
This past financial year was a record one for us, with over $250 million in loans settled and more than 500 Australian families helped with their finance and property goals.
Numbers like these are worth celebrating, but behind them are thousands of conversations, applications, challenges solved, late nights, client relationships and a team that keeps showing up for one another.
So we started the day with a team lunch and some time together away from the normal pace of business.
But the day wasn't only about looking back.
I also had the opportunity to share our *3โ5 year vision for Secure Finance* and where we believe this business can go from here.
Our ambition is significant. We want to build Secure Finance into one of Australia's leading independently owned mortgage brokerages, while continuing to grow our people, expand our capabilities and use technology and AI to fundamentally improve the way we operate and serve our clients.
Growth for us is not simply about writing more loans.
It is about creating opportunities for our people to build meaningful careers, developing future leaders within the business, continuing to earn the trust of our clients and building an organisation capable of remaining relevant for many years to come.
And after all that serious talk about the future, it was time to find out who could actually drive. ๐๐โ
We headed to Eastern Creek Karting for an afternoon of outdoor go-kart racing. With 13HP karts capable of speeds above 80 km/h, there was plenty of competition, plenty of questionable driving and even more laughs.
Days like this remind me that businesses aren't really built by strategies, systems or technology alone.
They are built by people.
I am incredibly proud of what this team has achieved together and even more excited about what we can build over the next 3โ5 years.
$250 million was a milestone. It was never the destination.
The next chapter of Secure Finance has only just begun. ๐
