One of things that easily comes to your mind during do-nothing season is to take a trip down the memory lane. 30 years ago, I was a 27 year old new migrant to Australia, quickly got my drivers license during unemployment time. Then I found my very first job, warehouse packer for then booming Franklins. I had to borrow my big sisters first car, 1990 Mazda 323, 5 speed manual, no aircon. Until I rushed out to buy my very first car, a yellow Suzuki Carryvan, a 4 speed manual, with huge cargo space, no aircon, 1.1 litre 4 cylinder engine that started shaking beyond 80km/h. But I still loved it, even though I only kept it for a year before buying my first decent car, a 5 speed manual, 1.5 litres engine, still no aircon, Ford Laser, smooth as baby’s ass, impressive quality. Photos are reference only, but very similar. Happy New Year!
