AVARI Capital is continuing to strengthen our national origination offering with two new appointments to lead activity across Queensland, Western Australia and South Australia.

We’re pleased to welcome Ash Kitchen and Gary Louis to the team, expanding our on-the-ground capability across further key Australian markets.

Gary, based in Perth, will manage AVARI’s origination efforts in both WA and SA, bringing more than 25 years’ experience across commercial real estate, private capital and strategic advisory, most recently leading NAB’s WA/SA Commercial Real Estate lending portfolio.

Ash joins AVARI in QLD, with experience across property & corporate finance and banking, including roles with Bank of New Zealand and Macquarie Group to deliver strong lending and relationship expertise.

As demand for disciplined private credit solutions grow, our continued investment in high-quality people, local market expertise and origination capability remains central to how we support both investors and borrowers.

In April, AVARI's 1st Mortgage Real Estate Fund paid a net distribution of 0.7903 cents per unit for the month. This sees the portfolio delivering a 10.65% annual return since inception in 2021 and a weighted average LVR of 57.51% (excluding cash).

Keen to see how the AVARI Capital 1st Mortgage Real Estate Fund is performing? Here's a snapshot of last month's results.

In March 2026 the $486.29M Fund paid a net distribution of 0.7812 cents per unit for the month, bringing the total annualised return to 10.67% since inception. The loan portfolio has achieved this rate of return whilst maintaining an LVR of 58.70%.
