Part of what we do is not just your average leaking tap, we are also licensed and classified to do strata work.

This can include changing control valves for individual unit blocks (both hot and cold).

As well as replacing faulty DCV (Backflow devices).

It can be very frusting when a plumber comes to do work in your unit or apartment but they aren't licensed to change your main control valve. So you have to call another plumber or wait for the strata to arrange their own plumber. This can sometimes take weeks.

When you start and run your own business, the Iceberg theory is a great illustration of what you see compared to what happens behind the scenes.

What people from outside see,
- Nice finished products.
- Clear sunny days.
- Big jobs being completed.
- Networking certificates
- Big miles stones being completed.
- Big quotes being approved
- Success.

What people don't see.
- Early starts (5.30am or earlier)
- Long days, often 18 hours or more.
- Wet, cold and windy days working outside.
- Countless hours driving around chasing parts dealing with traffic and deadlines.
- Countless hours dedicated to training.
- Countless hours on the phone to 'tyre kickers'
- Troubleshooting difficult problems infront of difficult customers.
- Countless quotes being declined or ignored with hours of time away from family and off the tools. (Quote 15 was the 1st to be approved)

As a member of BNI, alot of people think it is just about making money. But...

One of our core valves is 'Givers Gain'.
This works through passing referrals to other members within the group. We don’t get commissions or a cut in anyway from the income they receive.

This month at CBD Connect, I've received recognition for passing on almost $60,000 of work to other businesses. These are businesses that I know and I trust.

This morning we took out the Golden Microphone Award for our 40 second pitch.

Our pitch informed the meeting that as a maintenance company we do alot of troubleshooting and fault-finding.

One simply way to make fault finding easier and more methodical is a change of mind set. We change from finding 'problems' to finding 'challenges'.

Fault finding is identifying, locating and repaired the common denominator.
