We’re excited to share that the UNSW Financial Technology Society has been re-affiliated with the UNSW Business School as an Associate Society for 2026! This reaffiliation reflects our ongoing partnership with the Business School supporting student learning, industry exposure and innovation in fintech.

On Tuesday 11 November, our Co-Presidents attended the UNSW Business School Clubs and Societies Affiliation Ceremony, where they met with Senior Deputy Dean Professor Paul Andon, Associate Dean Undergraduate Programs Professor Kevin Liu and Director of Career Accelerator Sabine King to discuss student engagement initiatives for the year ahead. Alongside the formal discussions, they also connected with fellow society leaders across the Business School community to exchange ideas and collaborate on opportunities to enhance the student experience.

A huge thank you to Career Accelerator: AGSM & UNSW Business School for hosting such a valuable event. We look forward to continuing to drive innovation, collaboration and community within the undergraduate cohort by delivering initiatives that empower students personally and professionally, and further strengthen the UNSW FinTech ecosystem.

The largest case competition in the Southern Hemisphere, UCC x Oliver Wyman Trans-Tasman Case Competition, is back for its 7th year!

Students from 15+ universities across Australia and New Zealand are invited to prove their strategic, consulting and presentation prowess nationally to top-level executives of Oliver Wyman and the case company. It is open to all levels of case competitors, from newbies to veterans, so don't hesitate to sign up. This competition allows you to show off your creative and ambitious ideas whilst gaining exceptional analytical, presentation and teamwork skills - it's also the ultimate resume-building block to impress any interviewer.

This competition is open to ALL students from ALL disciplines! We highly recommend that all students register and try this case competition, even if it is your first.

This competition is made possible by Oliver Wyman, whose ongoing generosity towards student development provides participants with the opportunity to show off their brilliant ideas to seasoned industry professionals and top-level executives who will judge this competition.

Oliver Wyman is a leading global management consultancy with strong relationships in all corners of industry, government, and non-profit organisations. With a high value and importance placed on hiring and nurturing exceptional talent, they're one of the best Fortune 100 companies to work at!

🧳 COMPETITION STRUCTURE
Teams must consist of 2-4 people and can be formed across universities. They will be required to develop a strategy and demonstrate their findings in a slide deck that must be submitted; further details and requirements will be provided with the case brief. The top teams from each university will then advance to the National Heats round. The winners from the National Heats round will then qualify for the National Finals.

Registrations close: 19th September (11:59 PM)
Case brief released: 22nd September (9:00 AM)
Case submission due: 29th September (11:59 PM)
National Heats qualifying announcements: 1st October (9:00 AM)
National Heats presentations: 2nd October (6:00 - 8:00 PM)
National Finals presentations: 9th October (6:00 - 8:00 PM)
