Join us in Melbourne from 24–26 November 2026 for the FAAA Congress – three dynamic days of ideas, insights, connection and celebration with Australia’s financial advice profession.

Building on the energy and momentum of Perth 2025, this year’s Congress will once again bring together inspiring keynote speakers, practical workshops, technical sessions and powerful networking opportunities designed to challenge your thinking and elevate your practice.

And this year, we’re ending on a high. The 2026 FAAA Awards Gala Dinner will take place on Thursday 26 November – the final night of Congress – giving delegates the perfect opportunity to stay, celebrate the profession’s best, and wrap up the event together in style.

Over the last month of FAAA Roadshows, it’s been great to see our student members get to connect, interact and engage with the financial advice community and start to build out meaningful connections within the profession. A big thank you to all of our student members this year who took the opportunity to come along and attend the FAAA Roadshow.

Entering your PY Year and looking for additional external guidance. The Advice Academy is proud to offer a mentoring service through The Art of Mentoring to help mentees grow, develop skills, and navigate challenges they face during the supervision or completion of their Professional Year. Mentoring spaces are limited and available to both PY candidates and PY supervisors.

Although there is no requirement to engage an external mentor, the Advice Academy sees it as beneficial as a good external mentor can provide exposure to a different way of thinking, expand your network, assist you with feedback and encouragement and give you an external perspective. The FAAA Career Expo express rolled on this week, with Alex Savvides and Tania Milnes joining the team at St Joseph’s College on Tuesday night to speak with students about careers in financial advice.

Meanwhile, Louise Trevaskis, Sheila Cabacungan, Melissa Turnbull-Katebi and Joel Turnbull have been at the Western Sydney Careers Market at Penrith Valley Regional Sports Centre, connecting with thousands of Greater Western Sydney high school students and careers advisers across two big days.

It’s been fantastic to see so many young people engaged, asking questions and exploring the opportunities available in the financial advice profession.

A big thank you to everyone who has supported this week’s expos and shared their knowledge and experience with the next generation of advisers.
