We’re excited to welcome Monica Huxley to Distinctive Finance.

With more than 23 years’ experience across Retail, Business and Private Banking at NAB, Monica brings extensive lending expertise and a genuine passion for property. Her warm, approachable nature and focus on personalised service allow her to build trusted relationships and make the lending process straightforward and stress-free for her clients.

Following her career at NAB, Monica expanded her expertise by studying Interior Design, combining her financial knowledge with her passion for property, renovation and creating beautiful homes.

Outside of work, Monica enjoys spending time with her husband, Robert, and their three children, Charles, James and Polly. You’ll also find her exploring great design and taking on her next renovation project.

We’re proud to once again sponsor Simon and Gareth as they embark on the Spring Sh*tbox Rally next week.

Driving their “trusty” 2006 Ford Falcon wagon, JanDi, they’ll travel from Adelaide to Darwin over seven days, raising funds for the Cancer Council.

The rally remains especially meaningful as they drive in memory of their mums, Jan and Di, as well as Simon’s cousin Susie, who sadly passed away earlier this year after a courageous 9-year battle with cancer.

Last year they raised an incredible $20,000 and they’re aiming to make an even bigger impact this year. Every dollar donated goes directly towards life-saving cancer research.

Great to be back at another Emajin Golf & Networking Day at Sanctuary Cove Golf Club, where we were proud to sponsor one of the holes.

Ed Jan proudly represented Distinctive Finance at the recent Queensland Hotels Association (QHA) 2026 Awards for Excellence in Brisbane.

The annual event honours winners and finalists representing the best hospitality venues and operators across Queensland.

The QHA hosted a fabulous evening, as always, and the record 1600-strong crowd was in great spirits throughout the night.

It was a great occasion for Distinctive Finance to catch up with hoteliers themselves, and the many service providers who proudly support the hospitality industry.

Congratulations to all winners and finalists for this well-deserved recognition of their hard work.

That’s why we’re proud to partner with , an incredible organisation providing free air and ground transport for seriously ill children across regional and rural NSW, QLD and the ACT.

Through this partnership, we sponsor 10 missions every year, helping support up to 250 children and their families in accessing vital medical care that would otherwise be out of reach.

The impact of Little Wings is hard to overstate:
• 2,371 journeys completed in one year
• More than 8,000 families supported
• 5.8 million kilometres travelled safely
• 90% volunteer-led, powered by dedicated pilots and drivers

For many families, accessing specialist care can mean travelling hundreds of kilometres. Little Wings helps ease the emotional, financial and physical burden by keeping families connected to the treatment their children need.

The RBA has delivered a third consecutive 25 basis point increase, underscoring that policy remains firmly in a sustained tightening phase amid persistent inflation and an uncertain economic outlook.

All four major banks (Commonwealth Bank, ANZ, NAB and Westpac) are set to pass on the increase on May 15th.

By now, most borrowers are feeling the cumulative impact. What we’re seeing is not panic, but a desire for clarity. Not “what just changed?”, but “am I set up properly for what’s next?”

That’s where a review becomes valuable.
