CPF Executive Director Joe Christie, Portfolio Manager Noah Morabito and Development Manager Rod Moynahan have recently been meeting sponsors and inspecting a range of prospective and active projects. When considering funding a project, our team spends time on the ground meeting with developers, inspecting sites, discussing project feasibility, reviewing local market conditions, and understanding the experience and track record of the people behind the development.
These site visits form an important part of our due diligence process. While valuations, reports and financial analysis are critical, there is real value in standing on the site, asking questions, and gaining firsthand insight into a project and its sponsors.
Throughout the life of a project, our team continues to conduct regular site inspections, monitor progress, attend project meetings, review quantity surveyor reports, and track milestones as they are achieved.
