Home lending has slowed. Could that create an opportunity for buyers who are ready?
Recent lending data shows new home loan activity has eased, with fewer new commitments being taken out across the market.
That doesn’t automatically mean it’s the right time for everyone to buy.
But for buyers who are financially prepared, a softer lending environment can sometimes mean:
Less competition
More time to negotiate
Fewer rushed decisions
More opportunity to focus on the right property and the right structure
The question isn’t simply, “Is the market good?”
It’s:
“Am I in a position to take advantage of the market we have?”
Would you buy now, or would you still wait?
