Home Guarantee Scheme Changes

The Federal Government has announced that the expansion of the Home Guarantee Scheme will be brought forward to 1 October 2025.

From this date, all eligible first home buyers with just a 5% deposit will be able to apply without limits on places or income, and property price caps will also rise to better reflect today’s market values.

Combined with existing state incentives such as stamp duty exemptions and first home buyer grants, these changes open the door for more Australians to secure a home sooner.
