Well, there was a lot of chat about this and we have been expecting this. It appears that today is the day.
The Reserve Bank of Australia decided today to increase the cash rate for the first time in 11½ years!
Increasing by 25 basis points, the cash rate is now officially 0.35% and on the rise.
Just watch the majors take immediate advantage of this. Their interest rates will now follow suit and start to increase.
