Monday, 1 Mons School Road, Sunshine Coast (2026)

We are a newly established relaxed group facilitated by Playgroup Queensland and currently have two volunteers including myself (Nicola Hamer) and Vicky Rogerson Vicky has kindly volunteered her time to assist with the management of payments and signing in each Monday morning. Please let , myself or Vicky know if you're having difficulties accessing your playgroup queensland membership number. If

The morning is semi structured with an emphasis on balancing continuous provision with a set routine. Playgroup starts at 9:30 and about 10 am (ish) we all gather in the Meeting House for our welcome song. This helps to support your child's social/emotional development ( get your singing pants on ladies and gents). This is then followed by coffee, chat and play ( and an excuse to give your ears a break from my singing!!!) Quick tidy up at 11:15 ready for the next group and then finish with our goodbye song!! If anyone has any ideas or skills that they would like to share that would enhance the group please let us know! We do have a craft resource cupboard, so if you're a bit arty and would like to plan a craft activity you are more than welcome! It's YOUR playgroup and we are all parent's/caregivers together!

Lovely artwork from Monday's group! We had lots of fun today with the musical instruments and found ourselves another closet singer and guitarist! Really enjoyed singing in harmony with you Caroline! We tried some action songs this morning too and the children did so well! A couple of the older children managed to copy my makaton as we sang a song called 123 its good to be me! It was great to see so many of you at playgroup today! Welcome to all of our new families!! The kids put a lot of effort into their hand print poems and they look perfect! I am bringing the laminator again next Monday if anyone is keen to make a handprint poem. A massive thank you to Vicky Rogerson for providing the laminator pouches for the children's artwork. Also, thank you for all of your help setting up and putting away! Many hands make light work!
