A huge thank you to all the members and guests who joined us at the Sunbury Business Association Healthy Breakfast this morning, hosted at our Sunbury office. We had 30 RSVPs and an impressive 31 attendees, which made for a fantastic turnout.

We were fortunate to hear from guest speakers Nathan Sellwood and Will Scatchard from our community partner, the Sunbury Basketball Association, who shared valuable insights into the growth, challenges, and exciting future of basketball in Sunbury.

A special thanks to Ferguson Plarre Sunbury for providing a delicious healthy breakfast and to Blacky’s mobile coffee for keeping everyone fuelled with great coffee.

Nathan is committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive space for everyone and brings deep insight into community leadership, infrastructure challenges, and the future of basketball in Sunbury.

🎙️ Will Scatchard – Basketball Operations Manager

Will is a highly experienced basketball coach and administrator, with a background spanning both high‑performance and community programs. After playing high school basketball in the United States, he returned to Australia and took on roles in marketing and program development at Keilor Basketball Association.
He now serves as the Basketball Operations Manager at Sunbury Basketball Association, while also working as an NBL1 Assistant Coach with Keilor and a Vic Metro Assistant Coach.

What an incredible day at the Gisborne Golf Club for The Phoenix Cup on Saturday.

Congratulations to our Lucky Draw Competition winners:

Denise Dunn - 1st Prize: a dozen golf balls
Shauldon Huisman - 2nd Prize: a sleeve of golf balls

The new clubhouse is absolutely stunning, a true game‑changer that’s sure to attract members and visitors from far and wide.

A massive thank‑you to all the members for their amazing support of the event. The energy, the atmosphere, the community spirit… it all came together to make The Phoenix Cup something really special.
