: The Reserve Bank of Australia has announced another interest rate cut - the second of the year so far.

The current 4.1 per cent cash rate has been slashed by 0.25 per cent, making the official cash rate now 3.85 per cent.

The Reserve Bank of Australia has confirmed the first cash rate cut in almost 5 years.

The cash rate has been reduced by 0.25% to 4.10%, the first decrease since November 2020.

It's some relief for home loan holders dealing with high payments & high inflation. We wait for the lenders to confirm their rates, make sure you check your home loan, if you're paying too much or you lender doesn't pass on the full cut, let us know.

RATES ON HOLD AGAIN.

The RBA governor admitted the RBA board did consider another rate hike.

Market seems to be certain rates won't hike, unless the reserve bank needs to, but world events could push the economny into recession, which might see a rate cut, but if inflation doesn't drop.....

The RBA has kept interest rates on hold with a cash rate of 4.35%. It is the 5th month without a change to the official cash rate, with the RBA set to meet again on May 7th. Currently the financial market believes there is a 16% chance of a decrease. How is your home loan rate looking? Is a 16% chance of a decrease good enough, or should you be looking for better offers?
