On 22 March 2020 the Government announced a further package of measures designed to stimulate the economy and assist individuals and businesses with mitigating the negative economic impacts associated with the Coronavirus pandemic.

The new measures include initiatives for individuals, households and businesses. Business initiatives include measures to both enhance cashflow and provide easier access to credit. 1. Measures to support individuals and households
* Temporary early access to superannuation.
* Support for retirees – temporary reduction in minimum pension drawdown requirements
* Support for retirees and income support recipients – further reduction in deeming rates
* Payments to income support recipients (households)
* Enhanced income support for individuals

2. Measures to support small and medium size employers
* Boosting cash flow for businesses
* Temporary relief for financially distressed businesses
* Increasing the instant tax write off
* Backing Business investment
