Can you help keep kids warm this winter?

Melbourne weather is certainly living up to its reputation! 🥶❄️

As the cold weather rolls in, we are seeing an increased need for children's winter jackets and coats in sizes newborn to 6.

Could you donate last year's coat and help keep a child warm this winter? A jacket that is no longer needed by your family could make a world of difference to another.

Donations can be dropped off at our Essendon and Caroline Springs locations.

Please ensure all items are clean and in good condition.

As part of our growing partnership with Variety - the Children's Charity of Victoria, we recently had the chance to support Brody, a dedicated young boxer from regional Victoria. Through Variety’s Heart Scholarship program, Brody was granted funds in support for boxing lessons, equipment and clothing - however with our support Brody has been able to extend this to car insurance and managing his own transport.

Brody shared the following message of thanks:
“I got my licence and car the other day, and I just got the funds today. I’d like to thank you guys for the opportunities you have given me in the past year and how much you have helped me. I spent the money on my car insurance. Please tell Community Bank Strathmore, thank you. It was very helpful.”

Triple the Impact Day is coming!
While we're not directly involved in Caroline Chisholm Society's upcoming event, we're a longstanding sponsor of many other projects and are coming up to our 20th year of sponsorship!

We know how important these fundraising events are and the boost they provide to the Society's work - so get on board if you can.

Less than one month to go and we are nearly at $10,000 for our Triple the Impact Appeal!

Every dollar raised is helping support children and families through Material Aid, Specialist Housing Services and Perinatal Mental Health support.

We're so excited to be helping Strathmore Primary School with their outdoor resurfacing project! Last week we were able to present the funds to the school captains and wider school community at their assembly - a very proud moment for us and our business development manager Julie Hutchins.

Much of the school play area currently consists of outdated and cracked asphalt - and with these funds some of the space will be upgraded to an artificial turf Futsal court - creating a softer and safer recreational area.
