It was a pleasure being asked by The West Australian to comment on holding deposits for an article that was published in The West's real estate lift out yesterday.

One of the key questions I get asked about this topic by my clients is whether this is part of their total deposit or additional funds. The answer is the holding deposit forms part of your total deposit but is paid early in the process (to confirm to the seller you are serious and lock in the contract).
