The cash rate has increased to 4.10% as of Tuesday 17th March 2026, following the latest decision from the Reserve Bank of Australia.

This rate hike adds roughly $100 to $125+ per month to a loan amount of $700,000.

On it’s own? Manageable

Yesterday The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) met for the first time this year. The result was an increase to the cash rate, this first increase since 2023. For borrowers with a variable rate, this will impact repayments and cash flow.
