Honoured. Humbled. Still in disbelief.
Standing on that stage as the 2025 National Young Insurance Broker of the Year is a moment I’ll carry for life.
To National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) and Vero, thank you for creating a platform that not only celebrates excellence but uplifts an entire profession. From the Bloomfield experience to the Gala night, this journey has been life-changing. You’ve inspired me to think bigger, lead better, and give back more.
To my fellow state winners, Emily, Fabio, Tom & Derek, what a privilege to stand shoulder to shoulder with you. Each of you represents the very best of what broking can be: passion, purpose, excellence and heart. We met as strangers earlier this year, and it goes without saying, we have become the closest of mates along this journey.
To the Vero team, Anthony, Chris, David, & Helen thank you for your mentorship, energy, and the unforgettable experience we shared together.
A special mention to team National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA), Richard Klipin (Klippers),and Heïdi, what you do for our industry is second to none and as brokers, we’re forever grateful for your advocacy for our profession and our clients.
Vero have an incredible program in place unlike anything else in the industry. For anyone under 35, I would strongly encourage you all to nominate yourselves or those in your team for the Young Broker of the Year awards and experience everything Vero, NIBA and this experience have to offer.
And to my incredible team at Still Insured, and my wife and family who have backed me unconditionally throughout my journey, your belief in me has been my greatest strength.
A large shoutout to Community Broker Network for your support and assistance over the many years and for many years to come.
Finally, to my Dad, your presence is always felt, your lessons always heard. This one’s also for you.
This journey isn’t about a title, it’s about the impact we leave behind. About standing tall for our clients, our profession, our communities, and the next generation of brokers who will one day do it even better.
