One of the biggest myths in Home Loan Lending & one of the questions we field most - "Ive just started a new job, that means I cannot borrow?" Or "I haven't been at my job for 6 months."

This is 100% incorrect, there are mainstream Lenders that will lend to you even if you have only been in your new job for one week. This is also ok if you are on probation with your new employer.

Banks will never call you saying they are from your "Bank's Fraud Department".

If you do receive a call Hang up straight away.
This also goes for any Bank Spam SMS or Emails you may receive.
If you are suspicious whatsoever, call your bank or attend a branch to clarify.

Use Dual Authentication where possible.
Use unique passwords / codes.

Scammers are professional organisations & no longer working out of their Mum's basement.

They will sound legitimate and convincing, please take care this festive season.
