These terms of use outline how Goulburn Valley Water interacts with its customers through social media. Please note that all communications by Goulburn Valley Water are discretionary

. Goulburn Valley Water’s social media accounts cover topics relating to our business objectives, activities and incidents or emergencies, including:

Water or sewerage service interruptions
Water quality
Infrastructure and assets
Public health and safety
Education programs
Community engagement
General business operations
Information from other relevant organisations

Goulburn Valley Water social media is open to customers who want to know more about our core business, projects, works and related activities in the Goulburn Valley Water region. Availability

Our Social Media channels are monitored during office hours (8.30am to 5pm) Monday to Friday. Outside of these times responses from the corporation may be limited or delayed. During an incident or emergency, additional updates may be provided outside of these times. Moderation of posts and comments

Goulburn Valley Water welcomes all questions and commentary, including constructive feedback. However, we expect participants to post commentary that is both relevant and respectful to the community. The presence of a follower on social media does not imply Goulburn Valley Water endorses the user’s opinions or social media posts. However we reserve the right to remove any posts that do not adhere to our guidelines and to immediately block anyone, without notice, who violates them repeatedly. Individuals who repeatedly violate our guidelines will be notified of our intention to block them from the page. Specifically, the Goulburn Valley Water page will not tolerate posts that are:

• Abusive
• Offensive
• Threatening
• Hateful in language
• Unlawful
• Racist or racially offensive
• Sexist or of a sexual nature
• Trolling or Deliberate disruption of discussion
• Violations of any intellectual property rights

👷🏼💧 Hey Kilmore, we’re kicking off a new sewer infrastructure project that will support southern Kilmore’s continued growth and development for decades to come.

Construction on the Kilmore trunk sewer main project will commence shortly, delivering the wastewater infrastructure needed for existing and future development areas in southern Kilmore.

Works will be staged and carefully managed to minimise impacts to the community, with updates shared as construction progresses.

Over the coming months, we’ll be engaging with customers and communities as we shape our 2028–2033 Price Plan Submission – our five year plan for future services, infrastructure investments, and priorities across our region.

Alongside more in person feedback opportunities, we’ll also be sharing updates and ways to have your say through our new online engagement platform, Water Matters.

💧 Over the weekend, we joined Tatura Tree Group’s Buzzing Biodiversity Day, chatting with the community about choosing tap water over bottled.

Why ? Over 1.2 million plastic bottles end up in landfill every day, and for the price of a single 600ml bottle of water, you could refill a reusable bottle over 5,000 times from the tap!

Can you tell the difference? We put tap water to the test 👀
Through a blind taste test, participants sampled two bottled waters (at different price points) and our tap water.

✅ The results are in!
• 44% of people preferred tap water
• 56% said, “It all just tastes like water to me!”

Did you know that Permanent Water Saving Rules apply across Victoria all year round? These rules help us all to use water responsibly, every day.

Here are three easy ways to do your part:
➡️ Always use a leak free hose with a trigger nozzle to water your garden and wash your car.
➡️ Only use sprinklers and drippers before 10am and after 6pm.
➡️ Don’t hose concrete, paths or driveways – use a broom instead.
