We are proud to have supported Sarina Scouts Group with a donation from which they were able to purchase new First Aid Kits and allow their members to complete critical First Aid training.

A wonderful group of scouts attended in branch to collect the donation and we were happy to receive a certificate of appreciation for assisting them with the project.

Supporting the care of local wildlife 🐨

We are pleased to have supported Koala Rescue and Trauma Care Nebo with a Community Grant to secure specialised portable imaging equipment for sick and injured koalas.

Looking after our native wildlife is crucial, and this Community Grant totalling almost $15,000 will provide access to specialised equipment that can make a real difference in the diagnosis, treatment and recovery of these animals.

We’re proud to support the important work of the dedicated volunteers who care for our local koala population and this will give these animals the best chance of recovery.

What an achievement for the Sarina Saints Football Club men’s team, minor premiers for the season and now through to the Division final this Friday night!

For a small club it’s a fantastic effort! We’ve been proud to support the Saints and we’re looking forward to seeing the men take on the final challenge this Friday night.

Now it’s time for the community to get behind them! 🙌

As part of our Community Engagement Program (CEP), we were pleased to support Sarina Show Society Inc with a $30,000 Community Grant to fund important upgrades to the Sarina Showgrounds and surrounding facilities.

These necessary infrastructure improvements will enhance the functionality of the showgrounds and provide a lasting benefit for Sarina and the wider region.

The Sarina Showgrounds is an integral part of our community, hosting major events and providing a home for a number of local groups and organisations.

We are proud to support the future development of this important facility and to build strong, collaborative partnerships within our community.

What a fun night!

Our team recently participated in a trivia night hosted by Alligator Creek State School P & C to raise much needed funds for students.

What a fantastic event to be a part of! Wearing their best tropical themed outfits, everyone’s knowledge was put to the test, and it was amazing to see such great support from local families, organisations and the wider community.

As a profit for purpose organisation, Alligator Creek P & C is just one of the local schools we support – and we can’t wait to try our luck again next time!

Supporting future skills to take flight! 🎮

Two recent Community Bank Sarina Bendigo Bank community grants are giving local young people hands on experience with drone technology.

131 Army Cadet Unit - Sarina and Whitsunday STEM Challenge were supported with Community Grants totaling over $16,000 to purchase equipment for drone training and drone soccer.

From learning flight skills and racing, to trying drone soccer for the first time, these projects are building confidence, teamwork and practical skills while introducing young people to useful technology and future career pathways.

This is community impact in action, made possible by our customers and our profit for purpose community banking model.

What a beautiful day it was last Sunday for the Cruisin' the Coast Sarina Beach Run & Ocean Swim!

We had a wonderful time and we love supporting this event as a major sponsor, as it is the major fundraiser for our Sarina Surf Lifesaving Club.

It is always such a pleasure to see so many from our community out together - enjoying the beautiful sunshine and views on Sarina Beach.

Congrats to the winners and thank you to our Branch Team and Board who were able to make it and join in on the fun!

Art in the Park! 🎨

On Saturday, the Sarina Arts Council is hosting Art in the Park at the Sarina Art Gallery to celebrate the 20th Birthday of the Sarina Sugar Shed.

With a variety of activities for everyone to enjoy as well as live music, the celebration will showcase a display of art by local artists and there will even be a spot for the kids to try their hand at creating something special.

We have supported many projects and initiatives at Sarina Field of Dreams and it was great to see our local community come together to support these organisations.
