An offset account is linked to your home loan. The money held in that account can reduce the loan balance used to calculate interest.
For example, if you owe $500,000 and have $30,000 in a 100% offset account, interest may be calculated on $470,000 instead.
It can be a valuable feature-but only if the loan’s rate, fees and structure stack up for your circumstances.
A feature is only useful when it works for you.
Lets talk about whether an offset account could suit your home loan strategy.
