DID YOU KNOW...??

The Saies family purchased the corner allotment in 1911, but after a fire in 1927, had to have the building rebuilt to what we see today. How amazing that this building still gets to stand today and look the same!

Gold quarter....again!!

DID YOU KNOW...??

A lot of people refer to our building as the Saies building, but the Saies family first ran their business from shops slightly further down Renmark Avenue, not on the corner. They later purchased the corner allotment, and then after a fire, rebuilt the building to what we get to use today! How lucky are we!

On Monday 27 July at around 2:00 pm AEST, a test AusAlert will be sent to all compatible mobile devices in the country at the same time.
This is called the AusAlert national test. It will be a Critical Alert, which means mobile devices will vibrate, make a loud siren-like warning sound that lasts about 10 seconds, and show an AusAlert test message.
Critical Alerts override ‘silent’ or ‘do not disturb’ functions. If the AusAlert national test will disrupt you or cause you or someone you know to feel unsafe, turn mobile devices off or switch them to ‘aeroplane mode’ before the scheduled test time and leave them off for at least one hour.

DID YOU KNOW...??

The clock tower in front of our building was originally built in 1987 to celebrate the centenary of settlement in Renmark (1887-1987) and was donated to the town by the Murray Pioneer.
The clock face was converted to a digital face, also showing temperature, in 2019.
Which was your preference? Old v new?
