PAYDAY SUPER – WHAT EMPLOYERS MUST DO 📚

Mandatory from 1 July 2026
The Australian Government has passed legislation for Payday Super, a major reform designed to ensure employees receive their retirement savings faster and to reduce unpaid super nationwide.

For employers, this is a significant shift in payroll operations and financial management.

THE CORE CHANGES 🖇️

Timing: Super moves from a quarterly task to a per-pay-cycle task. If you pay weekly, you must pay super weekly.
The 7-Day Rule: Contributions must be received and able to be allocated by the employee's fund within 7 business days of the payday.
