What an incredible day for our region's young people! 🙌

A huge congratulations to Matt and the whole team at Neil Porter Legacy for bringing this event to life. Connecting young people from Hawkesdale and Mortlake with local businesses and real career pathways is exactly the kind of initiative our community needs, and you pulled it off brilliantly.

This is what the Community Bank model is all about. When locals bank with us, profits come back to the community through initiatives like this one, supporting young people, backing local businesses, and investing in the future of our region.
We loved seeing our chair Damian Gleeson speak with students on the day about the value of keeping doors open and how community banking creates real outcomes for real people.

We're proud to once again support one of the most fun events on the Port Fairy calendar, the Winter Weekends • Port Fairy Dachshund Dash. Fast legs, big personalities, and a whole lot of community spirit. This one never gets old.

If your group, club or organisation has a project or event that could benefit from some financial support, we'd love to hear from you.

Applications for our current round close at 5pm on Saturday 31 May, so now is the time to get your submission in.
Our grants support projects across a wide range of areas including community connectedness, health and wellbeing, education, youth engagement, and economic and tourism initiatives. If your project delivers a clear benefit to the Port Fairy and district community, it could be eligible.

We're thrilled to introduce the newest member of our volunteer board - welcome, John Coldham! 🎉

John came to us from Melbourne and has quickly embraced everything that makes Port Fairy such a special place to call home. He was drawn to the Community Bank for all the right reasons - a genuine belief in what we do, the connection we have to this town, and the impact that over $1 million reinvested locally can have on a community like ours.

In John's own words, "The Community Bank plays a vital role in making Port Fairy a great place. This mission has resulted in over $1M being distributed to strengthen our community, and that extraordinary contribution is thanks to the dedication and passion of past and present board members".

And if you think his commitment to community stops at the boardroom, think again. John is already deeply woven into the fabric of Port Fairy life, serving as treasurer for U3A Port Fairy, a Community Visitor for the Office of the Public Advocate, and a board member of a local aged care facility. Outside of that, you'll find him exercising, reading, travelling, following all things sport, and spending time with his two new granddaughters.
