You become more comfortable letting people misunderstand you because over-explaining feels heavier than simply standing in your own knowing. You trust your internal “no” without needing to gather evidence, and you stop abandoning yourself just to keep the peace.

Soft power isn’t about becoming quieter, smaller, or more palatable. It isn’t about softening yourself to make other people more comfortable. It’s about becoming rooted. Rooted in your body, in your knowing, in who you are when no one is watching.

It shows up when you stop proving. When you stop over-explaining. When you stop negotiating your needs into something easier for other people to accept. It’s the shift from asking for permission to trusting your internal sense of what’s right.

My chronic illness doesn’t run my life, but it does inform how I move through it.

I don’t get to pretend my energy is endless, so I’ve learned to treat it like something valuable. Not an afterthought.

Some days I move slower. Some days I move differently but every day I move with intention. And that has given me more clarity than any hustle ever could.

My illness didn’t make me smaller. It made me honest. And honesty has become my greatest source of strength.

The longer I’ve been in this business, the more I’ve realised that women aren’t short on confidence. They’re short on spaces where that confidence is welcomed.

What I see, over and over again, is that most women know exactly who they are. They carry their identity quietly, waiting for a moment where it’s safe to let it breathe.

The hesitation isn’t a lack of self-awareness. It’s a history of being told that wanting to be seen is selfish, dramatic, or “too much.”

But here’s the truth no one prepares us for:
The second a woman feels supported instead of scrutinised, everything changes.
Her voice shifts.
Her posture shifts.
Her energy shifts.
