Income protection through super: do you know how much it would pay, and for how long?
Insurance in your super can be a good starting point. The important thing is understanding what you actually hold.
For example, $2,000 a month is $24,000 a year before tax. If the full amount were paid for 24 months, it would total $48,000.
Check your latest super statement and insurance documents. Look for the monthly benefit and how long payments could continue if you remain eligible.
