We have a new dancer to introduce! Meet our latest recruit, Young Artist Tamika Farrugia.

Originally from Perth, Tamika is fresh from Barcelona, where she spent the past three seasons as a Soloist with Ballet de Barcelona.

While in Europe, she picked up Gold and Silver medals at the Prix d’Europe and toured throughout Spain and across Europe, South Africa and Pakistan.

Welcome home, and, welcome to West Australian Ballet.

If you’re a first home buyer in Perth, today was a good day. 🏡
The Reserve Bank held rates at 4.35% — the first pause of 2026. A hold isn’t a drop, but it does give you a steady window to plan. And the bigger news is what’s just changed for first home buyers in WA:
→ No stamp duty on a home up to $600,000 (up from $500,000)
→ Concessions all the way up to $800,000
→ A $10,000 First Home Owner Grant for new builds up to $800,000

The detail that’s tripping people up: the new thresholds don’t officially go live until 28 July 2026. If you sign before then, you’ll be charged the old rate first — but you can apply for reassessment and get refunded the difference once it’s live. So you’re not penalised for buying now.
